Marketing your Blog so Others Will Find You!

I just recently hit my 30,000 pageviews mark!!!!!

 

I know a lot of large blogs would say, OH WELL WHOOP DE DOO I do that every month.  But for me and my often forgotten, very neglected little blog, it is a BIG deal! 

 

So, I wanted to talk today about a few things that have made me so many pageviews on less than 100 posts.  I do not Tweet or post to Facebook, I know I should, I am just not there yet.  If you have read any of my previous posts ( if not,what are you waiting for) you know I love Pinterest !!  It has been my number one referral site.  If you are a small blog and are not on Pinterest, start up NOW.  Not only will you get lots of inspiration, you can find boards to give links to ideas of how to succeed with your blog.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Little Tagxedo Fun

In addition to playing with my blog button today, I spent some time on Tagxedo.  If you have not checked this site out, please do. it is so cool and user friendly even for a computer zero like myself...

The first creation was this:

You may recognize this as the background for my new blog button.

The words in this word cloud are words that Tagxedo extracted out of my blog when I typed in my web address.  You can do this with any website!  Very Cool!

Then I decided to play with something for a project I am working on for my daughter...

I started with just the name of her sorority, Delta Gamma

Then I added a few more words that related to Delta Gamma

I changed the colors.  I even made some in the shape of the anchor, but I didn't like how they turned out so I am still working on that one.

Then I had to make one for Little Princess

I just typed in random words that fit with her, the more you repeat a single word, the more it will appear in the cloud.

Lastly I played with one for Valentine's Day!
